When I received a call from this particular client asking about a lake house on Lake Sinclair, I knew we were going to be a great fit! Not only did we get along instantly on the phone, but to my delight and surprise she wanted to meet me at the houses in the water, on jet skis! This was perfect! I have been wanting to do this since I started selling house on the lake! She was equally thrilled when I said, " Sounds good! I'll meet you there on a jet ski too!"
The day came and I was a little nervous. Part of me wanted to revert back to my same routine and meet them there by land, but it was too late. I had already given them my word and I knew it would be fun if I just pushed past my initial fear of doing something new and different. That is usually how life works, isn't it? After all they do say, "life begins at the end of your comfort zone." I try to remind myself this whenever I'm feeling the jitters about doing something out of the ordinary.
As it turns out, it was so much fun! We had a blast and it hardly felt like working! It reminded me of another quote that a high school teacher had told us, "If you do something you love, you'll never work a day in your life." Well now I want to show houses by jet ski all the time! By water, is really the best way to see the lake houses in all their splendor! It was great to make new friends and I'm looking forward to finding her, her perfect house on Lake Sinclair on our next ride!
